Bike to Work Day 2007

May 18, 2007 is Albuquerque's Bike to Work Day. BikeABQ, City of Albuquerque, and NM Rail Runner are in full swing planning events to promote and encourage bicycling for transportation. We are hoping you will join us in our effort.

National Bike to Work Day is Friday May 17th. On this day City of Albuquerque, NM Rail Runner and BikeABQ will host four food stops from 6:30am – 8:30am. Come celebrate the ride at any of four breakfast stops around town. While supplies last there will be breakfast from Einstein Bros Bagels and other special goodies such as bike maps and reflective gear. Enter the free drawing to win a Trek Cycle-Cross and other prizes. City and County planners will be available to talk to commuters about up-and-coming bicycle projects.

Breakfast Stops (6:30 am - 8:30 am):
  • Downtown: NM Rail Runner Downtown Station at 1st and Central
  • Uptown: Uptown Transit Center near America's Parkway and Indian School
  • Journal Center: NM Rail Runner Los Ranchos/Journal Center Station and the N. Diversion Channel Trail
  • Erna Fergusson: Paseo del Noreste Trail and Erna Fergusson Library

Come, bring a friend, celebrate the ride with breakfast and meet city and county planners to talk about up and coming bicycle projects.
