Effective immediately, BikeABQ is dissolving its status as a nonprofit advocacy group.

In short, the board could not with a clear conscious dismiss the overwhelming data that driving is faster, safer, and ultimately more stylish than creeping along in brightly colored spandex.

We’re well aware that driving can lead to disastrous results with regards to obesity, air quality, and the overall health and happiness of a population, but there are far larger and more powerful groups, such as the American Heart Association, the EPA, and the American Psychological Association to deal with these issues that plague our nation.

In short, the board has unanimously decided to cease all activity as BikeABQ, terminate all memberships, and to spend the remainder of BikeABQ’s funds on a membership to the American Automobile Association and one of these sweet puppies:

Vroom Vroom, baby!
